Use a capital letter at the start and for names.

Start of a sentence

  • The first letter is a capital.
  • Example: “The dog runs.”

Names and the word I

  • Names start with a capital.
  • The word I is always a capital.

Example 1

  1. Sentence: my name is Sam.
  2. Fix: My name is Sam.
  3. M and S are capitals.

Example 2

  1. Sentence: i like cake.
  2. Fix: I like cake.
  3. I is always a capital letter.
