Know what a text is for and where you might see it.

Texts have jobs

  • A sign gives a short message.
  • A letter gives news or information.

Look at the clues

  • A menu lists food and prices.
  • A form has spaces to fill in.

  2. It lists food and a price.
  3. This is part of a menu.

Example 2

  2. It asks for personal details.
  3. This is a form.
