Reading Simple Words and Sentences

Read short words and sentences carefully.

Read each word

  • Look at all the letters.
  • Say the word slowly.

Read the sentence

  • Start at the beginning.
  • Look for the full stop.

  3. The word is dog.

Example 2

  1. Sentence: The dog runs.
  2. Read each word.
  3. The sentence tells us the dog runs.
