Look for action words

  • Action words tell you what to do.
  • Examples are write, circle and open.

Follow the order

  • Read step 1 first.
  • Then do step 2.

Example 2

  1. 1. Write your name.
  2. 2. Put the pencil down.
  3. Write first, then put the pencil down.
